A letter was sent in from a patient stating, “This Nurse was treating my husband for edema sores on his legs, he was very difficult to deal with. She showed compassion and caring, worked tirelessly to clean, debride, and wrap his legs. The results were unbelievable: clean, sore-free legs. Sadly, my husband passed at home as he wanted. But thank you, to this nurse,” Another patient commented, "I was very happy with the care I received. I have never received home care before, so I was nervous about the whole situation. This nurse was professional and made me feel comfortable.” It is my honor to present this DAISY Award to Stacie Gurczeski.
