Stacie advocated getting doctors and staff down to my daughter's room on her last day here. We had seen Stacie a few other days during our stay. She was in our room constantly (which was not the case with all of our nurses during our stay). It gave me much comfort and eased some of the anxiety about our situation. She could tell that my daughter's skin appearance was off and her demeanor was not as it had been previously. I watched Stacie several times hold my daughter to try and soothe her throughout the morning, as I tried myself. I would not have wanted anyone else to be our caregiver for my daughter's last day here on earth.
