Stacey is a new graduate nurse that has been with us for several months now. The care and professionalism that she has shown since starting work at Transylvania regional Hospital is bar none the best I have every seen in my 14 years of working here at this hospital. Stacey goes beyond her years as a nurse to provide care to her patients. Her knowledge in the field of nursing is impeccable. She is an advocate for her patients and she is not afraid to step up and do what needs to be done whether it is administering medications, teaching, or just listening. When she walks in to a patient’s room, they know she is there for them for whatever their needs may be at that time. She gives them her full attention, not only for the patient but for their families as well. Stacy is also a team player and is willing to jump in and help her co-workers - without even a blink of her eye, she is ready to help. Stacey represents what nursing is and should be today. I am very proud to call Stacey my co-worker. I would gladly have her as my nurse or as my family member’s nurse because I trust that she will do everything in her power to take the absolute best care of them.
