Stacy Bright set the standard for compassionate care.
The care I received was exceptional, but Stacy Bright set the standard for compassionate care. My health status was declining rapidly after arrival at the ED and transfer to step down/ICU. This is where Stacy enters the picture. I was not prepared to like or trust her. Stacy demonstrated time and time again that she understood my needs and desires. I could no longer speak and wrote notes, using my eyes and nods to communicate. Somehow within seconds Stacy understood my needs, she demonstrated that she got me, the person as well as the patient. She is exceptionally proactive and had an implementation, backup, and follow-up plan for everything that needed to get accomplished. It is my opinion that Stacy saved my life that night.
At my worst, she was at her best. I mentally put my life fully in her hands and she executed at a level that greatly exceeded all expectations. I know she had other patients that night, but I feel like she was only taking care of me. I see Stacy Bright as a miracle, one that I needed to survive and someone I will be grateful to for the rest of my days.
