Stacy Grant was nominated in a letter by the family of a patient who was under her care. The letter noted how Stacy was the first GW Hospital staff member they had met and that, while providing critical nursing care, she helped keep the family calm. The letter read

Stacy was our tour guide to an alien planet, assuring that despite our fears of the patient's death and/or disability, we never felt abandoned. During the early days, she interpreted and explained and more importantly, gave the guidance and information that we didn't even know we needed. Later Stacy kept in contact even on her days off, stopped by frequently and even checked on us once the patient had been discharged. We will always think of Stacy as our Guardian Angel.
