While admitting a patient Stacy noted that the relative with this patient did not look well and inquired as to how the relative was feeling. The relative stated she did not feel well but would be "OK." After multiple inquiries as to how she was feeling and frequent suggestions by Stacy to the relatives to be taken to our Emergency Room for evaluation, persistence finally convinced the relative to be seen in St. Luke's Des Peres Hospital Emergency Department.
When examined in the ED, it was determined the relative was having a STEMI and was transferred to St. Luke's Chesterfield for intervention. Prior to transfer, Stacy took her patient to the ED to see her relative. Both patients had a positive outcome.
