One February day, the hospital experienced a day of inclement weather. Staff had difficulty with transportation which resulted in higher than normal nurse:patient ratios. Stacy Pittman, as a member of the CVT OR was told she could go home at 0745 that morning. Seeing that CVT ICU was minimally staffed, she decided to stay and assist with patient care. She stripped beds, walked patients, helped with baths, set patients up for meals, saw to personal hygiene needs of patients, and in one case, stayed to feed a patient. She was an invaluable asset to us that day! She went above and beyond in all that she did that day. We thank her for being World Class!
