No matter the situation, Stacy made us all feel cared for and like we were human beings and members of people she truly cared about.
My husband was a patient waiting for a heart transplant at Langone Health. We are from Ohio and have three teenagers. My husband was inpatient for over two months. From the first time we met Stacy Pollack, she made all of us feel welcome. She constantly had this amazing energy about her that put us all in a great mood, even as my husband transitioned into hospice care. We had family members come to visit and Stacy stood out to all of us as such an amazing, caring human being.
Sadly, my husband's heart couldn’t hang on long enough for him to receive a transplant. Even on the last day we had him, Stacy made sure he was happy, comfortable, and in the best mood possible. No matter the situation, Stacy made us all feel cared for and like we were human beings and members of people she truly cared about. Stacy stuck out to not only the adults but our teenagers as well. She was constantly willing to provide recommendations of something to watch or do to our kids. Not only that, but she took the time to get to know our kids during one of the scariest times of their lives. Stacy is truly an amazing human being, and one of the reasons losing my husband is not only a sad memory but a happy one. Stacy became an honorary member of our family, and we all truly care about her. She is a blessing to the nursing profession.
