Stacy Pryor gave my son excellent care. My 13-year-old son was admitted to Freeman ED in the afternoon and was then life-flighted to Children's Mercy in Kansas City late that night. He had viral encephalitis.
Stacy exhibited each of the six traits listed for an excellent nurse. She was empathetic and warm yet professional. She was professionally proficient and did the technical part of her job very well. She communicated with us efficiently and in a timely manner, keeping us abreast of my son's condition as well as changes with the CM paramedics' transportation schedule. She stayed late to talk to the paramedics which showed selflessness, loyalty, and a deep caring to stay an extra hour or longer at the end of a long shift.
Stacy's calm demeanor and excellent nursing skills were noticed and appreciated so very much. My son is doing wonderfully now, in large part due to the care he received at Freeman's ED. Thank you Stacy!
