Stacy is a rock in the department. The atmosphere in the Emergency Department is one that changes rapidly without any warning. No matter what happens, Stacy is able to remain calm and help out however is needed. She brings a sense of security to the department and the feeling that 'everything is going to be OK'. Even in the most chaotic situations, Stacy brings an incredible amount of knowledge that cannot be missed. She has an impeccable way of educating staff that results in growth for the novice nurse.
Stacy is not only an asset to the nursing staff in the ED but also provides care beyond her job description. She pays attention to the small details that patients care about: arm blankets, lights dimmed, fresh coffee. Her patients are always kept up to speed with what is happening next in their plan of care. She finds a way to put her patients and their families at ease even when they oftentimes are experiencing one of the worst days of their lives.
