Stacy Telakowicz, RN

Stacy Telakowicz is one of the most tenured and respected nurses in the UH Samaritan Emergency Department. She consistently goes above and beyond to provide compassionate and excellent care to her patients. She is a resource in the department for all nurses, especially new nurses. Recently, Stacy agreed to help orient a new grad nurse, despite the fact that she does not typically enjoy orienting.
Stacy’s skill set combined with her experience and willingness to teach has made a huge difference in the progress of this new nurse in skill and confidence. Stacy is open and honest and encourages others to ask questions and seek out new knowledge. These are just some of the qualities that make her such an asset to the Emergency Department. She also teaches by example the value and importance of excellent patient care and compassion, as evidenced by her 8 previous DAISY nominations.
