Stacy took care of my husband before and after his surgery. We could not have had better care. She has an upbeat personality and a great sense of humor. These qualities allowed her to calm my anxiety and to ease the embarrassment that can come from certain medical procedures. She took time to explain everything we could expect and to answer our questions. We truly felt cared for on a personal level; we never felt like just a case number. She was able to do all of this while performing her clinical skills seamlessly. She is great at reading the room.
Before surgery the obstacles my husband faced were anxiety and embarrassment which Stacy tackled with her ability to keep light hearted, joking conversation going. At no point during our experience did we feel like a nuisance, or that we were taking too much of her time. She did everything she could to make him comfortable including having the surgeon come back to see him. Although surgeries are just part of the work day for these nurses and doctors, it is a time of stress for patients. Stacy has not lost sight of this fact. She left a lasting impression on us and has set a new standard for what we believe an excellent nurse looks like.
