The compassion and level of care provided by all these individuals were above and beyond anything I have ever experienced.
We cannot express our gratitude enough to the ICU team that took care of my dad and saved his life.
Every person we interacted with while he was in their care was extraordinary. They always fully explained everything that was happening and answered any questions we had. My mom stayed the whole time my dad was there, and the whole nursing team took the time to check in on her as well and make sure she was okay and had everything she needed; they never made her feel like a bother or unwelcome.
Some stand-out nurses were Kenzie, Melissa, Chloe, Jenn, and Emily, and the RTs who helped out. Patrick and Auggie were amazing as well. The compassion and level of care provided by all these individuals were above and beyond anything I have ever experienced. They were extremely knowledgeable and quick to act when anything needed attention, especially my dad's first night there.
When things were touch-and-go for a while, the whole team came together and caught that he was de-statting and jumped into action before he coded twice. The team was perfect and quite literally saved my dad's life. We can never thank you enough for that. I hope they all know they are seen, appreciated, and amazing individuals who we can tell truly care about the people they care for.
