Starleen Richardson is an extraordinary nurse who always goes the extra mile for her patients. She is the ultimate patient advocate. Besides being highly skilled, she is compassionate, dedicated, and passionate about being a nurse and giving superb care. She never complains and always finds the positive in everything. She is flexible and accepts her assignments with ease. She takes on challenges with an open mind. A few weeks ago she cared for a woman in labor who had lost her husband three months previously. At the end of the shift the patient’s mother-in-law came out of the room, embraced Starleen and said, “You were truly a gift for us today.” She is truly a gift every day!
