Later I started to have some pain, so Stefanie got my pain medicine and she stayed and stayed with me until I was comfortable and fell asleep.
I was on 5A from Saturday to Monday. Stef was the first nurse I saw and was very polite, accurate, and very friendly. Stef cheered me up all the time and was very consistent with my needs and medications, especially answering all my questions. I was not a very needy patient and really did not need as much help as others. I can see and hear Stef working with other patients and her kindness went above and beyond. There was no specific time that she went above and beyond, her kindness was there the whole time. Thank you, Stef for making my stay here enjoyable and relaxed.

After having several bad days and nights, I was feeling a little better; I sent my family home. They had been staying around the clock, taking shifts. When my daughter was leaving, she talked with Stefanie and without hesitation told my daughter that she understood my experience so far and that she could call anytime to check on me, and that Stefanie would reach out to her or my son if there were any issues. This put my daughter at ease right away. Later I started to have some pain, so Stefanie got my pain medicine and she stayed and stayed with me until I was comfortable and fell asleep. She went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of but, also kept my kids at ease.

Stef started providing me care Saturday night. I instantly liked her. She was patient and very informative about why I cannot take certain medications. I saw her empathize with my dilemma, and she took the time to talk to me about the concerns I had regarding my stay and my life worries. We talked about nursing and how much nurses do for the world. This was her truly caring. She was very understanding of my pain and what I was going through and made sure I had everything I needed. She even offered my family something to drink while they were there. She even inquired about a different medication to take because I was having nausea. I will never forget the care she provided me. She is an asset to this hospital and the patients she cares for.
