January 2026 Honoree
Stefanie Gormley, RN
My daughter, who has Down Syndrome, is a patient. She is very interested in what the nurses do. Stefanie arranged for my daughter to “be a nurse”. They gave her a stethoscope and a name badge.
A very nice man offered to be her patient. She listened to his heart and “taught” him how to use the breathing machine. My daughter took this very seriously. For those few minutes, she forgot about her pain, and I saw her smile for the first time in several days.
This kind of above-and-beyond service made such a difference in her recovery.

Thank you, Stefanie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
