Our son hates dressing changes and Stef came up with the idea to have our boy draw on her mask as a distraction. It was the first time since April that he didn't scream during it.
Stef has been awesome during our almost 8-week stay. Stef was very kind and understanding when we got the news that our 5-year-old son had stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma. Then Stef took care of us (parents) during the placement of a chest drain from a bleed during a broviac placement and biopsies.
Stef has been with us during the scariest parts of treatment and unexpected complications. All the Chemo even giving some of it.

Stef is one of our favorite nurses. She is always in a good mood and bubbly. In turn, it brings our moods up to be as positive as possible during such a very difficult time. Even when busy she takes a few minutes to make sure our boy is good and doesn't need anything else.
Then during chemo treatments, she uses distraction and a little fun so things go smoother for our son. Stef has truly made us feel like family. Stef has made things seem more fun. She is truly awesome and finds little things that will bring smiles.
