My postoperative RN, Stefanie provided me with exceptional nursing care as I recovered from my laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. I was not having a good reaction from the combination of anesthesia and postop pain medication. I had a lot of nausea also. Stephanie provided me with extra special TLC, such as rubbing my back as I was getting sick in PACU and being incredibly reassuring and attentive to my needs. She's very warm, friendly and seems very naturally caring. But most of all she stayed late even sending home a fellow colleague so that she could allow me extra time to recover. I was the last patient to go home and she stayed extra with me even though I think she mentioned having kids at home. She patiently and kindly helped my mom navigate her way out and then took me all the way out to the car taking lots of patience with me the whole time, explaining when a bump was coming, watching my positioning carefully when transferring, etc. At the end of an extra-long shift still giving 100%! All the little details that make up great nursing care! I get the feeling she does this all day for people, so I hope she gets recognized! Thank you for taking such good care of me!
