Steffi Freeman Clarke is the kind of nurse every patient wants to care for them and their family. She is respectful, kind, and attentive. She anticipates patient needs and makes them feel like they are the only patient she has been assigned for her shift.

While interviewing patients on 5 South, EVERY patient assigned to Steffi spoke more about their nurse than themselves. There was a common theme in every room such as "She touched my life by helping me" and "Steffi has a heart of gold". The communication boards in all rooms were complete including the plan of care, medications, and updated information. The patients remarked how much this daily information meant to them in terms of opening the lines of communication and taking away the unknowns of the day. The level of trust between patient/family and nurse was clearly evident.
