Stella has been at Seattle Children's for over 15 years. During that time she has been a staff nurse, neuro surgery charge nurse, operating room charge nurse, and has chaired the operating room Healthy Work Environment council. She has become someone that both staff and nursing leaders respect and love. She's someone who always strives to bring "Team Teal" together - whether it be through organizing outside-of-work activities for everyone to bond and get to know each other or through activities and celebrations she puts together through the Healthy Work Environment council. She's always celebrating us and making us feel appreciated. We as staff, always feel like she has our best interest when it comes to any decision-making. As a charge nurse, she is also always advocating for patient and family satisfaction by keeping the O.R. running smoothly and on time. Her dedication to the organization and to the staff has made her a great role model and someone whom we all look up to.
