I would like to nominate Nurse Leader Stephanie Tarter for the DAISY Award. Steph is an exceptional nurse leader who consistently goes above and beyond in her role. She has an incredible ability to connect with others and listen to understand truly. Her approach creates an atmosphere of trust and respect, which empowers others to excel. Steph has inspired me to move out of my comfort zone and do things that I did not think I had in me. She is dedicated to excellence and wants to make sure staff have the tools they need to succeed. Recently, a staff member needed an important document that nobody knew where to find. I reached out to Steph, and she was able to locate what was needed. For years, there was training that we had requested but were never successful in receiving until Steph made it happen. Her advocating for this training has made things safer for both patients and staff. Steph's leadership is characterized by her dedication, hard work, and ability to inspire those around her. She fosters an environment where teamwork thrives, and each individual feels valued and motivated to do their best. Steph deserves the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.

Stephanie Tarter has spent over 20 years in the United States Air Force as a nurse. She happens to be one of the best I’ve seen as a nurse, having had a family of two sisters who were nurses. She also happens to be my daughter.
