Nominated by a physician, a patient, and a patient's family:

Stephani cautioned an 8 year old child to be careful riding her bike. The patient was sad and noted that she had never had a bicycle. With permission of the grandmother, Stephani gave the child a bike that had been her daughter's. She even bought a helmet for the child and brought it all to the girl's house! The girl said it was a dream come true. I was so impressed, to have witnessed this excellent compassionate care.

I was with my daughter in the ER. The nurse, Stephani, was really tender, sweet and cautious with her. That helped me to feel less tension. She was awesome!
