Less than a month ago I was admitted for my chronic pancreatitis I was here for a week or so. I have a history of severe depression and PTSD, so I asked my records to be DNR (do not resuscitate). Stephanie was filling in as my nurse and saw the DNR and my age (29). She came to me and asked that I might reconsider the status because I am young and have a lot to live for. A week later I was found unresponsive in my truck with no pulse. I was rushed to Central Baptist by EMTs and because of her kindness to reconsider, I am alive today. When I saw her recently, I cried and hugged her for saving my life.
