Stephanie was the case manager for a patient for approximately 1.5 years. She grew to know the patient well. With this relationship, she was able to pick up on things quickly when something was wrong. So when this patient didn't call/text Steph back all day, Steph had this aching feeling something was wrong. She couldn't shake this so she took it upon herself in off-hours to go to this man's home and check on him. Steph found him on the floor of his home unresponsive. She was able to intervene and likely saved his life. Not only did she get EMS there and the patient to the hospital, but she also stayed to clean up the home from the patient being incontinent and wounds obtained with the fall. Steph went above and beyond for this patient and he is alive today because of it.

My mother has been home for a month. She was depressed, wouldn't eat or shower. Steph came over to do wound care on my mom. Only she did so much more. She stayed three hours past her scheduled workday, showered my mom, did her hair and her make-up, and made her something to eat. The connection she made with her was amazing. She is a dedicated and very special nurse. Thank you.
