Stephanie worked on Tower 4 as a Patient Care Tech (PCT) while she was attaining her nursing degree. As a PCT, she always anticipated the needs of the patients as well as the nurses. When she graduated, the nurses unanimously recommended Tower 4 hire her as an RN. She has been an RN for just over a year and has excelled in all areas. Stephanie exemplifies the Behaviors of Excellence (BOEs). She is truly a compassionate, responsive, collaborative, and accountable Tower 4 team member. She comes to work with a smile and a positive attitude that remains the entire shift. Stephanie always remains calm in stressful situations. She is a team player and goes above and beyond to assist her co-workers and patients. The PCTs state they love when Stephanie is their nurse, because they can count on her. Stephanie has taken on the role of Co-Chair of the Shared Governance Practice Council and is doing a great job. We receive numerous compliments for Stephanie from patients as well as her colleagues. She is referred to as a "ray of sunshine" with her bright smile. Stephanie has completed the paperwork and a unit project to advance to Clin II status. She has begun to precept newly hired nurses and ensures they are taught the right way. It is a pleasure and an honor to work with a nurse of Stephanie's caliber and positive attitude. She raises the nursing profession to a higher level, and will excel in her career as a nurse.
