Stephanie Burrell, BSN, RN

I delivered my son at Women’s and Babies via induction of labor. My overall experience at W&B Hospital was phenomenal. Every staff member that interacted with me and my baby truly provided optimal care. However, my labor and delivery nurse Stephanie Burrell deserves recognition. Stephanie was with me the majority of my time and was with me through delivery. Stephanie was compassionate about my goals through my labor plan. She was extremely thoughtful and considerate with me and my husband. When I had a problem with my epidural, she worked collaboratively with the anesthesiologist to resolve the problem. When it was time for me to deliver; Stephanie made sure I was relaxed and helped me listen to my body, to breathe, to deliver my baby without fear. She helped me enjoy the moment. Stephanie empowered me as a mom. She empowered me to use other pain management strategies (birthing ball) to help progress my labor. I delivered my 1st about 3-1/2 years ago at a different hospital, nothing compares to W&B. Stephanie was outstanding, it is obvious she loves her job.
