Stephanie Choo, MSN, FNP-C

I had the pleasure of working with Stephanie Choo, NP, during my POM appointment for my upcoming hip replacement surgery. After having had my other hip replaced 6 times previously, and because I was currently still working, I expected this to be a brief and very clinical call. But to my surprise, Stephanie just really wanted to take the time to connect with me, understand my story, even going back to my first surgical experience, and then address my preparations for the upcoming surgery.

Her approachable and compassionate nature allowed me to become vulnerable during the call and share my feelings of anxiety. She never rushed me, but rather, asked questions that allowed me to relax and share candidly. I knew I had been heard when she shared some possible insights on what might be triggering my worries and doubts about continuing the course towards surgery. She reassured me and validated my feelings. Ultimately, she was able to help me see that the benefits outweighed the risks, while remaining steadfast in her support of whatever decision I made. 

Stephanie Choo is an amazing nurse; her expertise and experience are evident, but it is her compassion and commitment to providing exceptional care experiences to our patients that sets her in an elite league.
