We want to give a well-deserved, heartfelt to Jessica and Stephanie because we had both father and mother just rooms apart being cared for. My father-in-law had his knee replaced and my mother-in-law, during visiting, ended up with a stress-related heart attack and was admitted 2-3 rooms apart. They have been married for 64 years and are still very much in love.
These two nurses had very astute observations that our parents were missing each other and worried about each other. With compassion, they wheeled my father-in-law into my mother-in-law's room. Then they had the harpist (music therapy) to serenade the two of them. Instantly they were both doing much better. Stephanie and Jess are a true asset to that unit. They exhibit SRMH values of "always treat you with respect." They showed our family tremendous compassion by seeing a need of my in-laws to be together. Thank you from all our hearts!
