I am writing to recognize the outstanding performance of one of our nurses during a medical emergency that took place outside the hospital walls. This person was on the scene, and with remarkable quick thinking, immediately called up to the floor to have us initiate the rapid response. They then remained patient and actively assisted throughout the duration of the code.

What was truly remarkable is that even after assisting with such an intense event, Stephanie came onto the unit ready to jump right into their shift, immediately asking how they could support the team. Their actions that day are a perfect reflection of the nurse they are every day. Stephanie is a phenomenal leader and team member who is reliable, dependable, and always willing to assist in any way they can. They consistently come to work with a positive attitude, ready to care for patients and support colleagues. Their clear-headed and decisive actions in the parking lot were instrumental in launching a swift and effective response. We are incredibly fortunate to have a nurse with this initiative, kindness, and composure on our team. I couldn't be happier to nominate Stephanie for this DAISY Award and sincerely believe this recognition is long overdue.
