All the nurses and nurse assistants were very caring and helpful but one stands out from all of them. Stephanie Flores took care of my family member. She was always very friendly. She was always there when it was time for his pain meds, always asked if he needed anything or if she could do anything for him. When it came time to talk about hospice she talked with me and my family and set up a meeting for us to get more information about hospice. After we signed up with hospice and got home we ran into some problems. I called and talked with Stephanie and she helped me with my problem which brought us back into the emergency room.
After being home for a week and being in the hospital for 11 weeks, my cousin passed away at home. When I returned to work, Stephanie and I bumped into each other in the hallway and she wanted to see how I was doing. She was so kind and caring she told me "he was a really nice man". She surpassed my expectations. She is a wonderful nurse and deserves the DAISY award.
