Stephanie Forbes, RN

I was admitted to UNC Blue Ridge and experienced nothing but kindness and care from all nurses and staff members. One particular nurse really touched my heart and helped me. I was having a couple of procedures done and I was very anxious, and she was right there to comfort me. Right before my procedures, she asked if she could pray with me. Of course, I said “yes.” She prayed and I felt a calmness and my mind was at ease. She really helped me, she would always check on me, and made sure that I was not in any pain. I get really nervous about speaking up, but I trusted her. If anybody needed anything she would make sure that everyone was taken care of. She was always smiling and was always very gentle. She has a heart bigger than the universe. I can’t thank her enough; she helped me more than she realizes. All the staff here are amazing, and this hospital is full of the nicest nurses, but I will never forget the moment of calmness that came over me while she was praying with me.
