Her knowledge and experience have made the unit strong, efficient, and motivated to care for the patients we see daily. Because of Stephanie staff members feel heard and appreciated, her presence elevates the standard of care across the unit.

Stephanie is an exceptional nurse and a valuable member of our team. She consistently goes above and beyond to support her colleagues. No matter how busy or stressful the day gets, she is always willing to step in where needed, whether that means lending a helping hand, offering guidance, or jumping into cases to help give a break without hesitation. Her calm and capable presence is refreshing and very welcome in our frequent chaos and helps to bring reassurance to the team. She truly embodies teamwork, compassion, and professionalism, and our unit is better because of her.

Stephanie Poterek demonstrates exceptional leadership, dedication, and compassion. Stephanie is one of our clinical leads in the Pediatric OR, and I have been fortunate enough to work with her for over 10 years. Most often, you will see Stephanie at the control desk running the OR, coordinating the daily schedule, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. She does this with genuine care for not only our patients, but for the staff as well!
Stephanie is the heart of our OR. She makes sure every team member's voice is heard. No matter how busy or stressful the day becomes, she always remains calm, organized, and focused on what truly matters, the care of our patients and the respect of our team members. Her compassion shines through in every interaction. She takes the time to check in on others, and she offers help when needed.
The OR is such a busy department with many moving parts. Stephanie's ability to multitask on such a grand level is a skill to be admired and recognized. She truly makes a difference every single day and is such an incredible asset to our pediatric population. Our organization is fortunate to have her, and she is so deserving of this recognition.
