I would like to recognize Stephanie Griffith for her commitment to providing Mental Health Resources for our Adolescent, Teen, and Young Adult patients. In 2020 Stephanie would bring community resources to me asking if we could display them for our patients. Stephanie would proactively pull information from a variety of sources; school districts, social media, and school sites, and make them available in our "Patient Information Station". What started as a few information pieces here or there, has grown into a real focus on mental well-being for our patients. She posts inspirational quotes which really draw your eye to the information we have available, she has a wide variety of information and opportunities such as skill building, "teentalkline", "see something, say something", insurance information, and others. Stephanie also meets with organizers occasionally to plan site visits or obtain materials to hand out to our patients. Over the past few years, the mental health crisis for our youth has become and continues to be one of the biggest health concerns that we are seeing in many of our patients. Stephanie recognized that there was a need for our patients and ensures we have a variety of resources for them.
