I had never stayed overnight at a hospital prior to my partial knee replacement surgery. I was very nervous and frightened at the unknown. Until I met the nursing staff at Hanover Hospital. I would like to give special recognition to Stephanie. She took extremely good care of me and made me feel like a person and not just a patient. Going into this process, I thought that I would be treated as just another cattle to be herded in and out. My experience was just the opposite. You can tell when someone truly loves what they do for a living, and it is quite obvious by the care that I received, that Stephanie and her coworkers truly love their profession. From the day I checked in until the day I checked out I was treated with compassion and attentiveness and made to feel at home. My nerves and fear quickly evaporated and I was able to focus on my recovery to the point where my doctor and physical therapists were stunned by how ahead of schedule I was. I cannot take all the credit for such a speedy recovery without acknowledging the blessing that it was to have people truly take all of the worries out of this process for me.
I would also like to thank whoever is responsible for hiring the nursing staff at Hanover Hospital because they also are extraordinary at their job as evidenced by the team that has been assembled.
In closing I would like to again say thank you to Stephanie and the nursing staff for doing such a wonderful job and making my experience better than I could have ever imagined.
