I was on call for Palliative Care Medicine this weekend and was very impressed with the care one of our patients received from Stephanie Harris. She was an outstanding patient and family advocate. She ensured the patient got comfortable by having us switch the treatment goal and to be able to provide support to the family.
The patient, who had been in distress, died comfortably due to Stephanie being proactive. I am certain the family is very appreciative and will have the peace of mind that their loved one did not die in distress.
