I am a patient and an RN who received care from Stephanie last month when I had surgery. As an RN who also works at the facility, I was quite nervous about being vulnerable and without privacy in front of my coworkers. Stephanie was incredibly professional and addressed my concerns to an incredible level.

She ensured that the windows of my operating room were covered, she skipped her morning break to ensure she cared for me the length of my surgery, and really, really made me feel incredibly special and, honestly, like a VIP. She interviewed me in the PreOP like any other patient in the PreOP area and even brought me a makeshift crown to really help me relax.

Once I arrived in the operating room, she was very professional with the timeout process and held my hand as I drifted off into general anesthesia, really just going the extra step to ensure that I was as calm and relaxed as possible as my surgery began. After the surgery, I woke up with mesh underwear, which gave me an extra layer of privacy, and came to check on me in the recovery room, ensuring that everything went well and that I was recovering well.

After I woke up a little bit more, I realized that the abdominal binder I had was custom-sewn with a dog (I absolutely love dogs), and it just showed just how much she really cared about me as a patient. I really cannot say enough about how professional she is with all of her patients, but having her as my nurse just absolutely was the most amazing experience and filled me with relief, and if I ever have surgery again, she would immediately be my first choice as a nurse.
