Stephanie Howard 2024, BSN, RN

Stephanie is a wonderful nurse. She is eager to help the patients, joke with them, and assist other nurses even without being asked. This morning, in particular, she assisted a patient with a high fall risk to get cleaned up, go to the bathroom, and go to the chair - Thus helping the patient not "jump" anymore and feel good about herself. This was not her patient, and when I said she could go to her team and that I would help the patient, she said no, that maybe she could learn something. That is not something you can teach but am grateful to hear. Together, we were able to help the patient. The patient laughed and enjoyed the chance to get out of bed. As a charge nurse and one of her preceptors, this was great to see, and I know I can count on her as one of my dedicated nurses, even with her being new off her new grad orientation. Thank you, Stephanie, for being a great nurse; I am so proud of you.
