When preparing for a blood transfusion, Stephanie asked if I was in pain. I replied yes- 8 out of 10- so she called the doctor and got medication prescribed. She asked where my pain was and the cause of it and I told her the vascular surgeon couldn't see me for two more weeks. She called the PA from the group and was able to move my appointment up by 12 days. I was able to then have a procedure and now I am pain-free. Stephanie could have just administered the transfusion but she went the extra mile to relieve my ongoing pain.
