Stephanie Lam was an angel. Not only was she skilled, compassionate, understanding, and patient, but she also saw that I was in distress because my daughter was in a long line to get in to see my mom, her grandmother, who was taking her last breath. She asked me to share the issue, and I told her the situation. She finished what she was doing for my mom, got up, took off her gown and gloves, and went down herself to find my daughter and her husband to bring them up to their dying grandmother. I see that Stephanie is a nurse who cares not only about the patient but also about the patient’s loved ones, knowing how important time with her family is. Stephanie made our final days with my mom a beautiful, memorable experience. How difficult it was made it obvious that she truly understands her calling as a nurse…an advocate for her patient. Stephanie went above and beyond to exhibit what is rarely seen these days. She is a beautiful person, a beautiful nurse, and our beautiful angel, and I will not forget her.
