Stephanie showed true compassion. She was extremely efficient and competent in all the care she provided me over three of her shifts. She far exceeded care, concern, advice, and assistance to me over all the other nurses and aides. She was always prompt in answering my call button and follow-through care. She spoke to me as an equal with respect and compassion. She gave good explanations of procedures and medication. She LISTENED when I spoke and was thoughtful in her response. She advocated for me with my surgeon and other hospital staff. She ordered a special brace for me. She had me thinking ahead of things to look out for when I was home. She wasn't ever lazy in any of her approaches with me.
She was an angel in a dark place for me, and without her kindness, I believe my spirit would not have survived, and possibly she saved my life. She was the only person I felt safe with my week at the hospital. I pray she is able to inspire other nurses to help other patients like myself in the future.
Thank you, Stephanie. My husband, our children, and grandchildren thank you for being there for me when they couldn't. And thank you for being an amazing woman!
