Stephanie Melvin is a prime example of care and compassion. Over the past year, I have witnessed multiple situations where Stephanie went above and beyond for others.

During this shift, it was early morning and Stephanie was on her way out the door she smiled and wished me a good day. She noticed an elderly man struggling to enter the hospital. His walker even seemed to be working against him. She quickly, without hesitation, put her things down and grabbed a wheelchair. After she got him seated in the chair, I offered to help her as I was coming in for my shift and she was trying to go home after a long night shift. Stephanie assured me she did not mind, and she would take care of him.

Even on Stephanie’s off time, she is ready to jump in and help others. She is truly a blessing to Baptist Health.
