A patient arrived at the ASC to have surgery but did not have anyone with him to care for him or drive him home following the general anesthesia. Stephanie spent over 90 minutes working on the situation so that the patient could have the surgery.
When the patient found out the surgery was on, he commented to the nurse how grateful he was to the "surgeon" for making all the arrangements. Instead of informing the patient how hard she had actually worked so that the patient was taken care of, Stephanie just smiled and continued on with her work.
