My husband, who has cancer, came in by EMS and was extremely sick-on the verge of sepsis. She sprang into action to get him proper care immediately. She had a student nurse with her for the day. She was patient and thorough in giving directions to the student, while still giving exceptional care to my husband. In addition, she calmed me down by explaining his illness and what they were doing to help him get better. She cared for both of us while giving her student valuable learning opportunities. We were fortunate enough to have her as his nurse the following day, as well. My husband had a very long ED stay. We cannot thank her enough for all the wonderful care she gave to us. We will never forget her!
