Over the last couple of years with COVID playing a big part in how things run in the organization, we have seen one of our clinical educators become a hero to many different units including our own. She was asked to support different units for staffing needs. She quickly took to the ED and the ICU in addition to supporting med/surg units. She has helped with code blues in the ICU, different critical codes in the ED, helped deliver a baby in the ED lobby, in addition to teaching many AHA classes, new hire orientation, and stepping in to assist with any clinical education needs that might have been getting placed on the back burner. She does all of this with the expectation of herself that it needs to be done with top-level expertise- and it is! She is an amazing asset to our department and has shown over the last couple of years that she is an amazing asset to the organization as well. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
