I was amazed and at the same time touched by the way Stephanie cared for a comfort care patient and his family. She showed a lot of compassion and empathy while she cared for this patient. She ensured that the patient was comfortable by checking on him every 15 minutes and administering the morphine per MD order. She gave the patient a last bath. She made me tear up by her passion for her work, which she did tirelessly and without complaining. She gave the patient's wife unending hugs and just loved on the family. As I watched her I thought to myself "she indeed deserves the DAISY Award" because of the compassion she displayed while taking care of this dying patient and his family. Thank you for all of your hard work Stephanie.
