On a morning in May 2025, an angel entered my hospital room. Although her official role at CAMC Memorial Hospital is Registered Nurse, I truly believe she is an angel.

I had experienced some discouragement the day before and had told the staff that I was going to refuse to undergo critical tests the next day. But in came nurse Stephanie the next morning, with a beautiful smile, a loving voice, and a direct, well-articulated, and optimistic care plan for the day.

She displayed immense confidence in her proposed plans and conveyed loving reassurance in her voice. All I could say was, "Yes, ma'am, I'm in. You've convinced me I need the tests." She devoted much of the day to caring for me. She stood nearby for my tests, giving reassurance and unbelievably positive vibes that I knew came from a very knowledgeable professional.

After the procedures, she even made sure I had a special lunch complete with ice cream. There's no doubt that I am alive today because of her extraordinary efforts and care. Stephanie exudes confidence, compassion, and professional excellence in every move she makes. God blessed me that day with this nurse. I know she represented Jesus while she was with me. I knew from the first few sentences that she was an exceptionally intelligent professional who also happens to be one of the most understanding and compassionate people I've ever met.
