Stephanie Potter, BSN, RN

I would like to recognize Stephanie from DPC. I came in for a cardioversion and, of course, was more nervous than I thought. I was fortunate to have Stephanie as my nurse. Her smile eased many of my fears. I was going to be taken early and was ready to go, but they decided to make me wait. Stephanie talked to me and told me that it would be all right. When I say she talked to me, I really mean she listened first and then talked to me. We shared stories, and she had me laughing. (I think I made her laugh too) When it was time for my cardioversion- she said that she would be right there; when I woke up, I saw her and asked when they were going to do it. She laughed and said all done and it worked. Nurses who listen and can ease someone’s nerves are special people. Hillcrest and DPC are very lucky to have a nurse like her.
