Stephanie's overnight care was just as amazing. She continued providing excellent bedside manners to make me feel extremely comfortable.  She helped me with literally anything.
I gave birth recently to a baby girl. J was my first nurse on my post-partum recovery (Stephanie took over that night).  She made such a scary experience into a calm relaxation as she explained everything to me in great detail with compassion.  She kept me up to date on procedures for the baby and the necessary plan of action regarding my blood sugars.  I am a type 1 diabetic, and my blood glucose readings came back concerning once.  As a first-time mother, I was terrified.  She explained everything and was there every step of the way, from when I gave birth until the end of her shift.  She was filled with so much compassion, kindness, and patience.  She helped me with everything from breastfeeding, walking to the bathroom, and diaper changes, to dressing, etc.  She made sure to demonstrate and help to baby bonding confidence in taking over.  She never rushed. She took her time with everything and anything I needed.

Stephanie took over afterward, and she was just as great.  She made sure to include my partner as much as possible, who is timid and does not speak English (J did this as well, but her Spanish was limited – not her fault at all – and I still love her for trying).  Stephanie's overnight care was just as amazing. She continued providing excellent bedside manners to make me feel extremely comfortable.  She helped me with literally anything.  She made sure to keep me up to date on everything, and she was patient while sharing tips and tricks for first-time moms.  She ensured that we always had what we needed and even went above and beyond by continually checking my supplies to ensure I did not run out of ice water or snacks, etc.

They are both a great team. Without Stephanie and J’s support, which I received during my stay, I wouldn’t be as confident as I am today going home as a first-time mother. They took the time to not only really educate me but also help me develop the competence to be an amazing first-time mother. Their support, guidance, and compassion during my stay made a scary, trying time into an enjoyable one.  I will forever be grateful to them for everything they provided to me and my family. Their attention to care and their ability to nurture and express compassion is unmatchable. You can see their dedication to patient care by their interactions – they engage professionally and empathetically. They communicate effectively but still provide quality care ruled with compassion. They encompass what a nurse should be – full of compassion, guidance, knowledge, and support. They deserve this recommendation and so much more.  No words will ever be able to describe or encompass what those nurses are to patients who cross their paths. They are amazing!!!  Thank you.
