I wanted to share with you my family's experience at Medina Hospital. My mother passed away after a brief illness. My mom and dad had been married for 53 years, together over 60. They were high school sweethearts and went to prom together. On the 3rd floor Observation, our nurse was Stephanie, and I cannot emphasize enough to you what a Godsend she was. She took the time and explained everything going on with my dad, and really *listened* to me. She was sweet to my dad and made sure he was comfortable. I actually felt at ease for the first time in a month.
The next morning, my dad had to have an endoscopy, and everyone did their best to get him in first thing in the morning because services for my mom were later that day. That morning they made sure he was cleaned up, shaved and helped him get dressed to go to my mom's funeral. The kindness that the staff showed my family on what was one of the worst days of my life made the day bearable. I cannot thank them all enough for the compassion that they showed my family. Please make sure you thank them on behalf of my family and let them know that their kindness will never be forgotten.
