February 2011 Honoree
stephanie rank, RN, BSN
One day in January we were working with a heavy patient load and Stephanie was in charge. We had patients being discharged, patients being transferred, patients being admitted and a family dealing with a life-altering decision. Stephanie not only did two admissions for her co-workers, but did one for herself. She was making the family dealing with their decision feel at ease and went out of her way for them. As the charge nurse, she took more patients because she could see her co-workers were needing her help. She continuously kept asking everyone if they needed help and if so, what she could do. Never, at one time, did she show frustration, stress, anger or any negative feeling. She kept positive and kept boosting her team’s morale. She is truly a team leader and extremely valued asset to PCU.
Thank you, Stephanie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
